SA LIVING:

"We
last saw her and her students back in August, and since then,
music teacher Mary Kathryn Archuleta and her daughter have started
a non-profit organization called "Dreams Fulfilled Through
Music." Their goal is to collect funds to send their
student musicians in Alamo Angels to the Band of Angels Starry
Night Gala in Birmingham, Michigan on April 22- 24, 2005.
They are a few thousand dollars short of meeting their goal to
cover expenses for the group.
Alamo Angels is made up of 5 young musicians with Down Syndrome.
Also joining them for several performances will be Betina Vega who
is blind to show how students with varying disabilities are able
to work and perform together.
Mayor Ed Garza named the Alamo Angels as Goodwill Ambassadors at
the City Council meeting on Thursday, April 7, 2005. "
